Tasting Notes:

A quick look at the wrapper makes me respect the manufacturing as this is a flawless stick and a quick snip with a guillotine and the cold draw does not reveal anything but an aged tobacco note. A toast and a light and this cigar is already giving me baking spice and brown sugar sweetness out of the gate.

As it starts to settle down I creamy sweet and salty nuttiness. Cinnamon is the main note on the long finish. The spice quickly reduces to a medium plus body and strength. A bready texture is present as flavor begins to build with hints of dark cocoa with a sweetness I cannot yet nail down and as I retrohale it is smooth and unoffensive. Salted caramel is the blast in the next retrohale with a bready dark cocoa in the long finish after.

Smoke is still bountiful and the burn is even and razer sharp in the second third. As I retrohale again I get bready brown sugar, creaminess and a salty goodness mixed in. The nuttiness has ramped up quite a bit as cinnamon and ginger ramp up to a comfortable level of spice toward the sweet spot with bready sweet cocoa.

In the final third we continue to have a faint sweetness, obviously welcome, along side a long finish of baking spice with a salty pop that is not offensive, The wrapper was difficult to remove but did not affect the smoking experience that continued to the butt as it reached a full strength and body.

As far as final thoughts, eat first would be my first note and I would follow that with this being one of the best cigars I have smoked ever. It is stronger than I generally like but after a steak dinner this would be the stick to grab. I would certainly smoke this again so “repeat worthy” for sure. I would keep one in the humidor if I could just to have around but not “box worthy” in my view since it is rare I smoke a cigar this strong but if you like them strong this is a stick to consider.
